New York City is a melting pot of creativity, and among the vibrant tapestry of artists, Jack Gomez stands out not just as a fashion innovator, but as an individual deeply connected to the roots of his community. While Jack’s dedication as a paraprofessional and teacher’s assistant in Coney Island is commendable, today, we're diving deep into his journey as an artist and the brain behind the unique fashion brand, Splaticus.

Hailing from the energetic streets of Brooklyn, Jack has always had a flair for originality. This started with altering tees and sneakers during his high school days. His motivation was simple: clothes should be an extension of one's personality. Disheartened by the lack of creativity he saw around him, Jack decided to show the world how the drip game is truly done. His venture, Splaticus, was founded in 2021 as a testament to this vision. Jack's appreciation for art is eclectic. From abstract art movements like impressionism, cubism, and surrealism to the raw energy of street art and graffiti, his inspirations are vast. Music and expressive dance also fuel his creative spirit. When it comes to fashion, Jack values intentionality, stories, color combinations, and textures.

Splaticus isn’t just a brand; it's a statement. Every piece created is a canvas, waiting to be imbued with uniqueness. While the brand has its logos and designs for recognition, there is always room for individual expression. Jack's clients always get a 1/1 experience, ensuring that their clothing truly represents their identity. What sets Splaticus apart is its commitment to individualism. As Jack mentions, "Splaticus doesn’t tell you what's hot. Yes, I use my logos and designs for brand recognition. But within those designs, there is insurmountable room for my clients to express their personality."

When asked about his future vision, Jack paints a vivid picture. He envisions a space filled with machines and materials, a tribe that's grown bigger, and a more efficient creative system. As he walks the streets, he hopes to see people adorned in Splaticus, and other brands inspired by the creative structure he's built. While his journey in the fashion world is noteworthy, it's essential to remember Jack's commitment to the youth of NYC. As a paraprofessional, he's dedicated over a decade to supporting students, emphasizing the importance of work ethic and the value of education.

In Jack's words, “I just want to know in my heart I did my best to change the decision-makers of tomorrow. People easily say children are the future, but what does the future look like? I want to lead young adults into being more self-aware, self-sufficient, and self-reliant.” Jack Gomez represents the best of NYC - passionate, innovative, and deeply rooted in community values. While his contributions as an educator are monumental, his journey as an artist with Splaticus showcases the limitless boundaries of creativity. We're excited to see what's next for this multifaceted artist! Keep up with Jack and Splaticus here.
